First Real Snow

Our first real snow came earlier than it has in years past and the kids were ready for it. They actually were begging Jeff to let them shovel. Will this last?! Ashley thought she'd try shoveling with no hands, then decided it works better when you use your hands and hurts your stomach less!

Little Jeffery is doing some great work with that large shovel!
What a great group of kids

Our trip downtown included seeing a beautiful tree in one of the buildings, The Nutcracker display in Macy's and the Holidazzle parade. What a fun time!

Macy's Nutcracker

We waited in line for an hour to see this display

The kids were tired of standing when we finally got to the display! But it was really great. Jeffery II especially enjoyed it. We could barely get his attention to go to the next display each time. The animation captivated him.

Raking leaves

First we were diligently raking leaves then
we had this great idea-Look its a cool fort!

Alaska!!

Capturing a picture of the bald eagle. We saw alot of them.
This is my brother in law Byron and his son Ben they took us out fishing.

Mountains in Alaska
Picture taken while on the fishing boat in the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful mountains in the background
Well, I haven't mastered putting pics. on this blog yet so these 1st 5 are out of order. This is a pic of Jeff and I in the airport in Alaska in front of a Polar Bear.
This beautiful photo was taken from the airplane we were flying over Glacier National Park I believe. Awesome!!!

On the way to my sisters house we toured a few places. This is a glacier I think it was in Seward.

Jeff standing behind a barrier with a warning to watch out for Bears as they had been seen in the area. Crazy! Believe me my eyes and ears were open.

More gorgeous mountains!

These are shops in Seward, Alaska with mountain backdrop. Their everywhere. Its so cool.

Cool pic. of the doc in Seward. Check out the snow covered mountains in the back.

Jeff with a Halibut he caught in the ocean. A 40 pounder I think they said.

Moose drinking from a stream

My brother Jon with his wife Robin and I at Russian River where we took a 6 mile hike. Very invigorating. And very beautiful.

Part of our hiking group. Jon, Robin my sister Linda in the pink and of course Jeff and I.

Had to show the kids I could climb out on the fallen trees over the rushing water too. In the front of the pic. in the red shirt are my nephew Jason & his girlfriend the guy hidden by the bushes is my nephew Ben.

Our hiking group looking over the edge with Ben taking awesome pics.

Ben has a gun hooked onto him because when you hike around there you need to be prepared to meet bear.

Waterfall coming down the mountain still part of our hike.

We saw a black bear by Russian river. We went out at about 11:30 pm which is when the animals are mostly on the move. It stood up straight and pulled down branches eating fruit off the tree. Very cool. See how light it is still even though its late at night. It stays light all day except for about 2 hrs. when it just turns dusk then sun is bright again. A little crazy to know when its bedtime.
